Dress Code
Model United Nations has a strict dress code of professional business attire. At the Arabian Pearl Gulf School Model United Nations conference, attendees must follow this formal dress code:
Gentlemen:
- A formal suit
- Suits, ties, and blazers must be worn at all times
- Jeans and t-shirts are not allowed
- Formal dress shoes are required
- Sneakers, sandals, and flip-flops are forbidden
- Bright, neon, sheer fabrics, and complex floral prints are strictly prohibited.
- Thobes and traditional Arab headwear are only allowed for Arabic councils.
- Head garments like hats, ball caps, and baseball caps, are not allowed.
- Sunglasses are not allowed.
Ladies:
- Formal attire
- Formal pantsuits, skirt suits, or dresses
- All skirts and/ or dresses must be extended at least 2 cm below the knees
- Cropped or cut-out tops, sleeveless tops, bright, neon, sheer fabrics, and complex floral prints are strictly prohibited.
- Formal dress shoes are required
- Sneakers, sandals, flip-flops are not allowed, and heels must not exceed 7cm
- Makeup must be simple and professional
- Abayas are only allowed for the Arabic councils
- Colored abayas are prohibited
- Sunglasses are not allowed
